Cashier and Cook

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook / Cashier to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, preparing high-quality meals that meet our standards.

Duties

• Take customers Orders accurately, and efficiently .
• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
• Follow recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager to ensure consistency in food quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards.
• Help with the assembly of dishes for catering events or daily service.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food handling.

Experience

• Previous experience in a culinary role is preferred, but not mandatory; we welcome individuals eager to learn.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
• Experience in meal preparation or working within a dietary department is a plus.
• Knowledge of catering operations can enhance your candidacy.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment are vital.
