Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, take accurate orders, and serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining a lively and engaging demeanor
• Process all sales transactions efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell menu items, including wine, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food handling areas, beverage stations, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, setting up dining areas using OpenTable or similar reservation systems, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Manage cash register operations accurately during shifts, including processing payments, giving change, and balancing cash drawers at the end of each shift
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items such as wine knowledge or cocktail options while ensuring a positive dining experience

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on customer service excellence
• Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transaction processing
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while demonstrating basic math skills
• Culinary experience or food industry background preferred for better understanding of menu offerings and food safety standards
• Beverage service expertise including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink service techniques
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
• Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms is a plus for managing guest seating arrangements
• Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
• Knowledge of sanitation practices related to food handling and restaurant cleanliness standards
• Strong communication skills to engage guests effectively and work collaboratively with team members
