CASHIER

About the role

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Cashier to join the team at Polystar General Services Inc. in Molino, Bacoor City, Cavite. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience at our retail operations. As a Cashier, you will be the final point of contact for our customers, responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service. This role is fundamental to our business operations, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and the smooth functioning of our retail environment.

What you'll be doing

• Processing customer payments accurately using cash registers and payment systems, including cash, card, and digital payment methods
• Providing courteous and professional customer service to all customers at the point of sale
• Scanning items, calculating totals, and ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly
• Handling cash responsibly, including counting cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy
• Issuing receipts and providing customers with change and assistance with their purchases
• Maintaining a clean and organised checkout area
• Resolving customer queries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy
• Following company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines
• Assisting with stock management and restocking shelves when required
• Communicating effectively with team members and management regarding operational issues or customer concerns

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is highly preferred
• Strong numerical skills and accuracy in handling cash and transactions
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
• Honesty and integrity in handling cash and customer information
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Basic computer literacy for operating point-of-sale systems
• Attention to detail and organisational skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
