Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash, credit, and mobile payments
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product information or demos
• Manage cash register operations with precision, including handling cash drawer balancing and cash handling procedures
• Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly approach
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and support merchandising efforts to ensure the store remains attractive and well-organized
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking supplies and participating in stock counts when needed
• Maintain professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers or vendors over the phone

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail sales or cashiering, preferably in grocery or retail store environments
• Strong knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Demonstrated supervisory experience is beneficial for team collaboration and leadership opportunities
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
• Familiarity with retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and grocery store operations preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks associated with stocking and checkout duties
