We're looking for a Cashier to join our Charlotte team and provide customers with an efficient, accurate, and welcoming checkout experience.

You'll be responsible for processing purchases, handling different payment methods, answering customer questions, and keeping the checkout area ready throughout your shift.

This is a customer-facing position, so accuracy matters—but so does how you treat people. Even during a busy period, customers should receive friendly service without feeling rushed.

Your Shift at a Glance

At the beginning of your shift, you'll prepare your register, check that necessary supplies are available, and make sure your checkout area is ready for customers.

Throughout the day, you'll:

• Scan merchandise and confirm prices and quantities
• Process cash, debit, credit card, and digital payments
• Count cash and provide accurate change
• Apply approved discounts, promotions, and coupons
• Provide receipts and process authorized returns or exchanges
• Answer questions about products, pricing, and store policies
• Request supervisor assistance when a transaction requires approval
• Follow cash-handling, customer privacy, and loss-prevention procedures

Accuracy is important. You'll be expected to check transactions carefully rather than simply moving customers through as quickly as possible.

When You're Away From the Register

The role isn't limited to checkout.

During quieter periods, you'll help keep the front end organized and ready for customers. This may include replenishing checkout supplies, returning unwanted merchandise, straightening nearby displays, and helping customers find products.

You'll also work with other team members when additional support is needed elsewhere in the store.

Who We're Looking For

Previous cashier experience is useful, but it isn't required. Paid training is provided on the register, payment procedures, and company policies.

This position could suit you if you:

• Can communicate clearly and professionally
• Stay composed when checkout lines get busy
• Are dependable and punctual
• Can learn a POS/register system
• Are willing to help teammates when needed

Experience in retail, grocery, restaurants, hospitality, customer service, or other cash-handling positions is helpful, but entry-level applicants are welcome.
