Duties

• Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, returns, and exchanges.
• Handle cash, credit card, mobile payment, and other forms of payment with precision and integrity.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions about products, and assisting with product demos when needed.
• Upsell complementary products or services to enhance the customer’s purchase experience and increase sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area; stock shelves and assist with merchandising to ensure product displays are appealing.
• Manage the cash drawer responsibly, perform basic math calculations for transactions, and balance register at shift end.
• Support inventory management through stocking, inventory counts, and assisting with product placement to optimize store presentation.

Experience

• Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is advantageous.
• Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Strong communication skills and phone etiquette are essential for engaging customers professionally.
• Previous experience in grocery stores or retail environments involving merchandising, upselling, or product demos is beneficial.
• Supervising experience or leadership roles in retail settings are valued for potential growth opportunities.
• Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately and managing cash drawers confidently.

Pay: $22.08 - $26.60 per hour
