Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive guest services to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Square POS
• Process payments efficiently through cash handling and cashiering duties while maintaining accuracy in math calculations
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities and promote our offerings
• Assist with food handling, food preparation, and sanitation to ensure compliance with food safety standards
• Clear tables, bus tables, and assist with general restaurant cleanliness to maintain a tidy environment
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar reservation platforms
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and uphold fine dining standards when applicable
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction
• Support other team members during busy hours, including bussing tables or assisting with host/hostess duties

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred
• Proficiency with POS systems
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and billing purposes
• Experience with upselling techniques to increase sales and enhance guest experiences
• Familiarity with restaurant operations including serving, bussing, hosting, and food preparation is advantageous
• Hospitality-oriented mindset with a focus on guest relations and creating welcoming atmospheres
• TABC cerftification
• Serv Safe: Food Handlers certification
