About the Role:

As a Cashier at Famous Anthony's, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while managing transactions efficiently. Your primary responsibilities are greeting customers, managing takeout orders and handling cash/credit transactions accurately. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, which includes performing janitorial duties as needed. Additionally, you will assist in managing inventory and restocking items, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the restaurant. Ultimately, your efforts will help create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register and point of sale system.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and dining space, including performing janitorial duties.
• Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the restaurant.

Skills:

The required skills for this position, such as cashiering and customer service, are essential for ensuring that each transaction is handled smoothly and that customers leave with a positive impression. Repetitive motions and lifting items will be part of your daily tasks, especially when restocking supplies or maintaining the cleanliness of the workspace. Phone etiquette will be important when answering customer inquiries or taking phone orders, ensuring clear communication. Flexibility in your schedule will allow you to adapt to the restaurant's busy hours, contributing to a team-oriented environment. Overall, these skills will enable you to perform your duties effectively while enhancing the customer experience.

We are currently hiring for evenings and weekends - part time. We have both day time on weekends (8am-2pm) and evenings during the nights and weekends (5pm-9pm) positions available.

We are looking for part time help on the following shifts:
Monday thru Friday = 4-8, 5-9:30pm
Saturday 8am-12pm or 8am-2pm
Sunday 12-3, or 4-9pm
