Responsibilities

• Accurately process customer purchases using POS systems, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies and ensuring merchandising standards are met.
• Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities while respecting customer preferences.
• Manage stock levels at the register station by assisting with stocking and merchandising displays as needed.
• Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally, ensuring a positive resolution that encourages repeat business.
• Follow proper phone etiquette when answering inquiries or directing calls related to store services or products.

Requirements

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail environment, preferably in grocery stores or similar retail outlets.
• Strong proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with excellent communication abilities; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Supervising experience is desirable for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team.
• Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and setting up product displays efficiently.
• Knowledge of retail sales techniques, upselling strategies, and grocery store operations is preferred.
