Duties

• Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions swiftly and efficiently.
• Handle cash, credit cards, mobile payments, and other forms of payment with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer balancing at shift end.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos when applicable, and upsell items to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area; stock shelves and assist with merchandising to keep the store inviting.
• Support inventory management by stocking products, conducting stock counts, and alerting supervisors about low inventory levels.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries, providing clear information and friendly service.
• Engage customers in retail sales conversations, promote store promotions or specials, and contribute to achieving sales goals through proactive selling techniques.

Skills

• Proven experience operating POS systems and cash registers with strong cash handling skills.
• Previous supervising experience or leadership roles in retail environments are a plus.
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations and cash register operations.
• Exceptional communication skills; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising standards, and customer service best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
• Strong phone etiquette skills combined with excellent customer service orientation.

Pay: $17.00 - $26.75 per hour
