Cashier

About the role

This role involves cash handling, recording, and reporting functions within treasury and cash operations. You will manage daily cash collections and deposits, reconcile cash inflows with transaction records, process revolving fund disbursements, and collect fees for warehousing services. The position requires maintaining secure cash handling practices, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and process daily cash collections and deposits
• Reconcile cash inflows and ensure funds match transaction records
• Process revolving fund disbursements and replenishments for daily operational needs
• Collect fees for storage, handling, and additional warehousing services
• Prepare daily sales reports detailing all cash collections and deposits
• Reconcile cash and revolving fund accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Generate and submit reports related to cash activity
• Issue receipts and maintain organized records of financial transactions
• Ensure all cash handling complies with company policies and procedures
• Participate in periodic audits and ensure accurate documentation for internal and external auditors

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in a Finance-related course (e.g. Accountancy, Financial Management)
• 0-2 years of experience in Accounting, Treasury Operations, or Corporate Treasury related work
• Experience in transport or logistics industry is a plus
