Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Cashier to join our retail team! Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions
• Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
• Handle cash drawer operations with precision, including cash handling, coin counting, and balancing registers at shift end
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays to maintain an organized and inviting store environment
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and maintaining a friendly attitude
• Support merchandising efforts by organizing products and ensuring proper signage for promotions and specials
• Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone and coordinate with team members as needed

Skills

• Proficiency in POS systems and cash register operations with strong cash handling skills
• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery or similar retail environments
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities in a retail setting
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and stock management
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts
• Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette
• Experience in grocery store operations or cashiering roles is highly desirable

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
