Job Summary

Bay Ridge Volkswagen is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Cashier to support daily dealership operations. The ideal candidate will handle payments accurately, assist guests with billing and transaction questions, maintain organized cashier records, and provide professional service in a busy automotive dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
• Process cash, credit card, debit card, and other payments accurately
• Operate the dealership POS or payment system as required
• Provide receipts and transaction documentation
• Verify payment amounts and maintain accurate transaction records
• Assist guests with questions regarding invoices, payments, and account balances
• Coordinate with service, sales, parts, and administrative teams when needed
• Maintain an organized and professional cashier station
• Balance cash drawer and report discrepancies according to company procedures
• Handle refunds, adjustments, and payment-related requests as authorized
• Assist with preparing daily transaction and cash reports
• Maintain confidentiality of guest and financial information
• Follow dealership policies and workplace safety procedures
• Support other front-desk or administrative duties as assigned
• Assist team members during busy service and sales periods

Requirements

• Previous cashier, retail, automotive, dealership, or customer-service experience preferred but not required
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic cash-handling and payment-processing experience
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and POS skills
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible work ethic
• Ability to maintain professionalism when handling payment questions or concerns
• Flexible availability, including weekends as required

Preferred Skills

• Automotive dealership or service-department cashier experience
• Experience with POS, payment, or dealership management systems
• Strong cash-handling and transaction-reconciliation skills
• Excellent guest-service and communication abilities

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
