Cashier

Le Four Bakery & Cafe is seeking a friendly and dependable Cashier to support daily bakery and café service. This position involves taking customer orders, processing payments, assisting guests with basic questions, and keeping the counter and service area organized. The ideal candidate is attentive, courteous, and comfortable working in a busy customer-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, efficient service
• Take bakery and café orders accurately
• Operate the POS system and process customer payments
• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other approved payment methods
• Answer basic questions about bakery items, beverages, and menu offerings
• Provide receipts and assist with routine checkout requests
• Keep the register and front counter clean and organized
• Restock bags, cups, napkins, containers, and other service supplies
• Help organize customer orders for pickup
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, bakery, café, restaurant, or customer-service experience is helpful
• Friendly and professional approach to customer service
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Comfortable working in a busy bakery or café environment
• Ability to learn POS systems and workplace procedures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to stay organized while assisting multiple customers
