Cashier

The Bliss Cafe is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily café operations. This role is responsible for welcoming guests, taking orders, processing payments, answering basic menu questions, and helping keep the front counter and customer areas clean and organized. The ideal candidate is attentive, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service
• Take customer orders accurately and confirm order details
• Process cash, card, and other approved payments
• Operate the point-of-sale system and provide receipts
• Answer basic questions about menu items, beverages, and café services
• Communicate customer requests and order details clearly with café team members
• Maintain a clean and organized register and front-counter area
• Restock cups, bags, napkins, utensils, and other service supplies
• Assist with dine-in, takeout, and pickup orders as needed
• Support coworkers during busy service periods
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and café procedures
• Assist with opening, closing, and other daily café duties

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, café, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful
• Friendly and professional approach to customer service
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment
• Ability to learn POS systems and café procedures
• Willingness to follow instructions and maintain a clean workspace

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
