Cashier

Cafe Calle is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily café operations. This role involves welcoming customers, taking orders, processing payments, answering basic questions about menu items, and helping keep the front counter and service areas clean and organized. The ideal candidate is attentive, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, courteous service
• Take food, coffee, and beverage orders accurately
• Process cash, card, and other approved payments through the POS system
• Answer general questions about menu items and café offerings
• Confirm order details and communicate customer requests with café team members
• Provide receipts and assist with dine-in, pickup, and takeout orders
• Keep the register, counter, and customer-service areas clean and organized
• Replenish cups, lids, bags, napkins, utensils, and other service supplies
• Assist coworkers during busy service periods
• Support routine opening and closing duties
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful
• Friendly and professional approach to customer service
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Good attention to detail when handling orders and transactions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment
• Able to learn POS systems, menu information, and café procedures
• Willingness to follow instructions and support the café team

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
