Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling retail sales transactions, operating cash registers, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of store products, basic math skills, and the ability to maintain a clean and organized checkout area. The Cashier will also assist with stocking shelves, merchandising, and ensuring the store is fully stocked to meet daily sales goals. A positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential to create a welcoming shopping experience for our customers.

Duties

• Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently during retail transactions
• Handle cash drawer management, including counting cash at the beginning and end of shifts
• Provide knowledgeable assistance regarding store products to customers
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a professional appearance
• Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising to keep the store fully stocked and visually appealing
• Conduct daily cleaning tasks to uphold store cleanliness standards
• Use basic math skills for processing transactions, giving correct change, and managing sales data
• Support the overall store operations by making good sales daily and ensuring customer satisfaction

Experience

• Previous experience in retail or cashier roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Familiarity with cash register operations and retail POS systems is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
• Basic math proficiency for handling transactions accurately
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and able to perform cleaning and stocking duties as needed

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
