Cashier

Katsu is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily restaurant service. This role involves welcoming guests, taking orders, processing payments, answering general menu questions, and helping maintain an organized and welcoming front-of-house area. The ideal candidate is attentive to detail, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide courteous, professional service
• Take food and beverage orders accurately
• Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments
• Answer general questions about menu items and restaurant services
• Confirm order details and communicate special requests to the kitchen team
• Provide receipts and organize completed orders for dine-in, pickup, or takeout
• Keep the register, counter, and customer-facing areas clean and organized
• Restock bags, containers, napkins, utensils, and other service supplies
• Assist coworkers with customer service and order flow during busy periods
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures
• Support routine opening and closing duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, restaurant, café, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to customers
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Good attention to detail when handling orders and transactions
• Comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment
• Able to learn POS systems, menu information, and restaurant procedures
• Willingness to follow company policies and service standards
