Cashier

Louis Coffee Bar is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily coffee bar operations. This role involves welcoming customers, taking orders, processing payments, answering general questions about menu items, and helping keep the front counter and service areas clean and organized. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, and comfortable working in a busy café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take customer orders accurately and confirm order details.
• Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other approved payments.
• Answer general questions about coffee, beverages, food items, and café offerings.
• Communicate orders and customer requests clearly with baristas and team members.
• Provide receipts and help organize completed orders for pickup or dine-in service.
• Keep the register, counter, and customer-facing areas clean and organized.
• Restock cups, lids, bags, napkins, utensils, and other service supplies.
• Assist coworkers with routine café duties during busy periods.
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures.
• Support opening, closing, and other daily coffee bar responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced customer-service environment.
• Good attention to detail when handling orders and transactions.
• Able to learn POS systems, menu information, and café procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
