Cashier

La Colombe Coffee Workshop is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily café operations. This role involves welcoming customers, taking orders, processing payments, answering basic questions about coffee and café offerings, and helping keep the service area clean and organized. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, and comfortable working in a busy coffee shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take customer orders accurately and confirm order details.
• Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments accurately.
• Answer basic questions about coffee, beverages, food items, and café offerings.
• Communicate orders and customer requests clearly with baristas and café team members.
• Organize completed orders for dine-in, pickup, or takeout service.
• Keep the register, counter, and customer-facing areas clean and organized.
• Restock cups, lids, bags, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies.
• Assist coworkers with routine café duties during busy service periods.
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures.
• Support opening, closing, and other daily coffee shop responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, coffee shop, café, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, professional, and respectful approach to customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable learning and using POS systems.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment.
• Willingness to learn menu items, coffee products, and café procedures.
