Cashier

Dalian's Café is seeking a friendly and dependable Cashier to support customers and daily café operations. This role involves taking orders, processing payments, answering general questions about menu items, and helping maintain a clean and organized service area. The ideal candidate is courteous, detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service
• Take customer orders accurately and confirm order details
• Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments
• Answer general questions about coffee, beverages, food, and menu options
• Communicate orders and customer requests clearly with café team members
• Provide receipts and assist with routine checkout requests
• Keep the register, counter, and customer-service areas clean and organized
• Restock cups, bags, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies
• Assist baristas and coworkers during busy service periods
• Help organize completed orders for dine-in, takeaway, or pickup
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures
• Support opening, closing, and other routine café duties

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful
• Friendly and professional approach to customers
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Comfortable learning POS systems and payment procedures
• Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy
• Able to stay organized while handling multiple customer orders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
