Cashier

Urth Caffe is seeking a friendly and dependable Cashier to support daily café operations and provide excellent customer service. This role involves welcoming guests, taking orders, processing payments, answering general questions about menu items, and helping maintain a clean and organized service area. The ideal candidate is courteous, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service
• Take customer orders accurately and confirm order details
• Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments
• Answer general questions about coffee, beverages, food, and menu options
• Communicate orders and special requests clearly with café team members
• Provide receipts and assist with routine customer requests
• Keep the register, counter, and service areas clean and organized
• Restock cups, bags, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies
• Assist baristas and coworkers during busy service periods
• Support order organization for dine-in, takeaway, or pickup service
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures
• Support opening, closing, and other routine café duties

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful
• Friendly, professional, and respectful approach to customers
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Comfortable learning POS systems and payment procedures
• Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy
• Able to stay organized while handling multiple customer orders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
