Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately
• Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with precision and maintain proper cash handling procedures
• Upsell products and suggest additional items to maximize sales opportunities
• Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store looks inviting
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and merchandising adjustments
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support team members with supervising experience by collaborating effectively and maintaining a positive work environment

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in grocery or similar environments
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in multiple languages (bilingual skills are a plus)
• Experience in merchandising, stocking, and retail math to support store operations
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales transactions is advantageous
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Prior supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities
