Job Summary

TANE VEGAN IZAKAYA is seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will welcome guests, take orders, process payments accurately, operate the POS system, maintain a clean cashier area, and support smooth daily restaurant operations.

This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hospitality, works well with others, and can provide professional service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Operate the POS system and enter orders correctly
• Process cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately
• Provide receipts and assist with payment-related questions
• Answer guests' questions about menu items, ingredients, and available options
• Coordinate with kitchen and restaurant team members to ensure accurate orders
• Check orders for accuracy before serving or handing them to guests
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming cashier and counter area
• Restock menus, packaging, napkins, condiments, and other service supplies
• Handle guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner
• Follow restaurant policies, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Assist with opening, closing, and other daily restaurant duties
• Support team members during busy service periods
• Perform additional duties assigned by restaurant management

Requirements

• Previous restaurant, cashier, retail, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic cash-handling and POS experience is a plus
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Ability to follow instructions and restaurant procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible work ethic
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills

• Restaurant cashier or front-of-house experience
• Experience operating POS systems
• Cash and payment-handling experience
• Excellent guest service skills

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
