Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases using excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, returns, and exchanges.
• Handle cash register operations with precision, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and balancing registers at shift end.
• Provide product demos when applicable, highlighting features and benefits to encourage upselling opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of store products and merchandising to answer customer questions confidently and recommend items.
• Stock shelves as needed, ensuring products are well-organized and visually appealing for customers.
• Assist with retail math calculations for sales totals, discounts, and change to ensure accuracy in all transactions.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
• Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations.
• Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities are a plus, to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising practices, and upselling techniques enhances performance.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a friendly demeanor under pressure.
