Job Summary

HEX Coffee, Kitchen & Natural Wines is seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier to support daily café and restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will welcome guests, process orders and payments accurately, answer menu questions, maintain a clean and organized service area, and work closely with the team to provide efficient and professional hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other payments
• Provide accurate receipts and verify transaction details
• Answer questions about coffee, food, beverages, and menu options
• Assist guests with placing orders and making selections
• Communicate orders accurately with kitchen and beverage team members
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming cashier and counter area
• Restock menus, packaging, napkins, condiments, cups, and other front-counter supplies
• Monitor product displays and maintain an appealing service area
• Follow cash-handling, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Assist team members during busy service periods
• Handle guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner
• Assist with opening, closing, and other daily duties
• Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management

Requirements

• Previous cashier, café, restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience preferred but not required
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic POS and cash-handling knowledge
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and transaction accuracy
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible work ethic
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills

• Restaurant or café cashier experience
• Experience with POS systems and payment processing
