Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth transactions at our grocery store. Your primary responsibilities will include handling cash, processing sales, and assisting customers with their purchases. Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments while ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Communicate effectively with customers to promote products and services through upselling techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to enhance the shopping experience.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members during busy periods to ensure efficient operations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and improve store performance.
• Stay informed about promotions, sales, and new products to provide accurate information to customers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in cash handling or retail sales is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash registers is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Willingness to learn about grocery store operations and product offerings.
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Open availibilty. Weekends and evenings.

Pay: $15.55 - $16.50 per hour
