Cashier

San Laurel is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily restaurant operations and provide excellent service to guests. This role involves welcoming customers, processing transactions, assisting with orders, answering basic menu questions, and maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area. The ideal candidate is professional, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take dine-in, takeout, and pickup orders accurately.
• Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other approved payments.
• Answer basic questions about menu items, pricing, and restaurant services.
• Confirm order details and communicate customer requests clearly to restaurant staff.
• Provide receipts and assist with routine checkout and order inquiries.
• Organize completed orders for pickup, takeout, or table service.
• Keep the register, counter, and customer-facing areas clean and organized.
• Restock bags, containers, napkins, utensils, and other service supplies.
• Assist coworkers with routine front-of-house duties during busy periods.
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures.
• Support opening, closing, and other daily restaurant responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, restaurant, café, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy.
• Comfortable learning and using POS systems.
• Able to remain organized while assisting multiple customers.
• Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
