Cashier

Fratelli Cafe is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily café operations and provide welcoming service to customers. This role involves taking food and beverage orders, processing payments, answering basic menu questions, organizing the front counter, and assisting the café team during busy service periods. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take food, coffee, and beverage orders accurately.
• Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other approved payments.
• Answer basic questions about menu items, beverages, and café offerings.
• Confirm order details and communicate customer requests clearly to café team members.
• Provide receipts and assist with dine-in, pickup, and takeout orders.
• Organize completed orders and help maintain smooth customer flow.
• Keep the register, counter, and customer-service areas clean and organized.
• Restock cups, lids, bags, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies.
• Assist baristas and coworkers with routine café duties during busy periods.
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures.
• Support opening, closing, and other daily café responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy.
• Comfortable learning and using POS systems.
• Able to remain organized while assisting multiple customers.
• Willingness to learn menu items and café procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced customer-service environment.
