Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role is perfect for individuals with strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for retail sales. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus, as they enhance our ability to serve diverse customers effectively.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
• Operate POS systems accurately to process sales transactions
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and security
• Manage product merchandising at the checkout area to ensure an appealing presentation
• Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions or special offers to increase sales
• Provide product demos when applicable and answer customer inquiries about merchandise
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area
• Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures and store policies
• Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
• Support team members in achieving sales goals through effective communication and teamwork

Skills

• Strong customer service and communication skills, including phone etiquette
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
• Experience with POS systems and retail sales operations
• Ability to perform product demos and upselling techniques effectively
• Organizational skills to manage time efficiently during busy periods
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base
• Knowledge of merchandising standards and retail environment dynamics
• Technical sales experience or familiarity with technology products is a plus
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude
