Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Cashier to join our retail team! Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a friendly, professional manner
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, including stocking supplies and merchandising products
• Upsell additional items or promotions to enhance customer shopping experience and increase sales
• Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about new or featured items
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking inquiries
• Support inventory management through stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and participating in stock counts

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Previous supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is a plus
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts
• Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases
• Experience with grocery store operations, including merchandising and stocking products
• Knowledge of retail sales techniques such as upselling and product demos
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences
• Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally
