Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions with speed and precision using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product demos when appropriate.
• Upsell products and promotions to enhance the customer’s shopping experience and increase sales.
• Manage cash drawer handling responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays to maintain an organized and inviting store environment.
• Assist with product knowledge sharing and merchandising to help customers find what they need quickly.
• Maintain professional phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing assistance remotely.

Skills

• Proven experience operating POS systems and handling retail sales transactions efficiently.
• Strong supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively.
• Skilled in cashiering, cash handling, and basic math to ensure accurate transactions.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and stock management.
• Ability to perform retail math calculations quickly for pricing, discounts, and totals.
• Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service with friendly phone etiquette and proactive assistance.
