Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and swiftly
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries
• Handle cash register operations including cash drawer handling, giving correct change, and balancing registers at shift end
• Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers
• Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
• Maintain knowledge of retail store products and merchandising standards to ensure attractive displays
• Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and ensuring the sales floor remains inviting and well-organized
• Demonstrate phone etiquette when managing customer calls or inquiries professionally and courteously
• Support supervising staff during busy periods or special events to ensure smooth store operations

Experience

• Previous cashier experience in a retail environment preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations essential for success in this role
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued for engaging diverse customers effectively
• Experience in retail sales transactions, cashiering, or retail math helps streamline daily tasks
• Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising enhances customer interactions and sales performance
• Ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately while maintaining excellent phone etiquette and customer service standards

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
