Duties

• Operate cash registers accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision and efficiency.
• Assist customers with their purchases by providing product information, conducting product demos, and upselling items to maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandising standards are met.
• Stock shelves and assist with inventory management to ensure product availability and presentation are optimal.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Manage cash drawer handling responsibly, performing daily reconciliation and balancing at shift end.
• Support store operations through merchandising tasks and participating in promotional activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales or cashiering roles, preferably within grocery stores or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems and cash register operations.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or ability to assist team members when needed.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers effectively.
• Familiarity with retail math, cash handling procedures, and retail store product knowledge.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts.
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and conducting product demos is highly desirable.
• Prior grocery store experience is advantageous but not required; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential.
