Duties

• Operate cash registers efficiently, handling all retail sales transactions with accuracy and speed.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally.
• Manage cash drawer handling, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging additional sales through upselling techniques.
• Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising displays to maintain an attractive and organized store environment.
• Promote retail store product knowledge by staying informed about current inventory, promotions, and new arrivals.
• Maintain phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone, providing clear information and support.

Skills

• Proficiency in POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations to process transactions smoothly.
• Previous supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in guiding team members or managing shifts.
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash handling, retail math calculations, and change management.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members in a bilingual environment if applicable.
• Experience in retail sales, cashiering, upselling, merchandising, and stock management to maximize store performance.
• Knowledge of retail store product details to assist customers confidently and suggest complementary items.
• Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication over the phone or via digital channels.
