Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register efficiently, accurately processing retail sales transactions and handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos.
• Maintain knowledge of store products to support upselling efforts and recommend additional items to customers.
• Manage the cash drawer with integrity, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays to ensure products are well-organized and visually appealing for customers.
• Assist with product demos when needed, highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer engagement.
• Support store operations by supervising other team members during shifts, ensuring smooth daily functions and excellent service delivery.
• Use POS (Point of Sale) systems confidently to complete transactions quickly while maintaining accuracy.
• Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or coordinating with team members.
• Engage in retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and change management with precision.

Skills

• Proven experience operating POS systems and managing retail sales transactions efficiently.
• Strong supervising experience or ability to assist in overseeing daily store activities.
• Ability to perform product demos confidently while explaining features clearly.
• Bilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse customer needs effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly phone etiquette approach.
• Skilled in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
• Capable of stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining store organization.
• Knowledge of retail store product details and merchandising principles.
• Basic math skills for handling cash register operations and balancing cash drawers accurately.
• Prior cashiering or retail sales experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential!
