Responsibilities

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash register operations including cash handling, cash drawer balancing, and reconciliation at shift end
• Deliver excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and providing product information
• Assist in stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining store cleanliness to ensure an inviting shopping environment
• Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits
• Promote upselling opportunities to enhance sales and meet store goals
• Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries

Experience

• Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for quick transaction processing
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Previous supervisory experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
• Experience in grocery store environments or with retail store product knowledge is beneficial
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices
