Cashier

Idaho Pizza Company is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily pizzeria operations and provide efficient service to customers. This role involves welcoming guests, taking pizza and food orders, processing payments, answering basic menu questions, organizing completed orders, and maintaining a clean and organized front counter. The ideal candidate is attentive, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy pizza restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take dine-in, takeout, pickup, and phone orders accurately.
• Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other approved payments.
• Answer basic questions about pizza, menu items, pricing, and available options.
• Confirm order details and communicate special requests clearly with kitchen staff.
• Provide receipts and assist with routine checkout requests.
• Organize completed orders for pickup, takeout, or dine-in service.
• Keep the register, counter, and customer-service areas clean and organized.
• Restock pizza boxes, bags, containers, napkins, utensils, and other service supplies.
• Assist kitchen and counter team members during busy service periods.
• Support opening, closing, and other daily pizzeria responsibilities.
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures.
• Communicate customer concerns or order issues to the appropriate team member.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, pizzeria, restaurant, café, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable learning POS and payment procedures.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Able to remain organized while assisting multiple customers.
• Willingness to learn menu items and pizzeria procedures.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
