Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales accurately
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product information
• Handle cash drawer operations, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling transactions at shift end
• Upsell products and promote store promotions or special offers to enhance sales opportunities
• Maintain knowledge of store products through product demos and merchandising to better assist customers
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the checkout area is clean and inviting
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting customers remotely

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashier roles preferred; grocery store experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual environments if applicable
• Proficiency with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math for accurate transactions
• Demonstrated ability to handle cash drawer handling responsibly and perform retail math accurately
• Supervising experience is a bonus, especially in training new team members or managing customer interactions
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and stock management techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive energy

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 28.0 per week
