Cashier

Elevate Coffee is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily coffee shop operations and provide efficient service to customers. This role involves welcoming guests, taking coffee and food orders, processing payments, answering basic questions about menu items, organizing completed orders, and maintaining a clean and organized service area. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, and comfortable working in a busy café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take coffee, beverage, and food orders accurately.
• Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other approved payments.
• Answer basic questions about coffee, beverages, food items, and café offerings.
• Confirm order details and communicate customer requests clearly with baristas and team members.
• Provide receipts and assist with dine-in, pickup, and takeout orders.
• Organize completed orders and help maintain smooth customer flow.
• Keep the register, counter, and customer-service areas clean and organized.
• Restock cups, lids, bags, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies.
• Assist baristas and café team members during busy service periods.
• Support opening, closing, and other routine coffee shop responsibilities.
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures.
• Communicate customer concerns or order issues to the appropriate team member.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable learning POS and payment procedures.
• Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy.
• Able to remain organized while assisting multiple customers.
• Willingness to learn menu items and café procedures.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
