Job Summary

Winchester Bar & Grill is looking for a friendly and dependable Cashier to handle guest orders, payments, and front-counter service. This position plays an important role in keeping customer transactions accurate and efficient while providing welcoming service in a busy bar-and-grill environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately through the POS system.
• Process cash, credit card, and other approved payment methods.
• Confirm order details and provide receipts when required.
• Answer basic questions about menu items, specials, and restaurant services.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly.
• Assist with takeout, pickup, and carryout orders.
• Keep the cashier station clean, organized, and adequately stocked.
• Maintain accurate cash-handling procedures throughout each shift.
• Help manage customer flow during busy periods.
• Address basic guest concerns and involve management when necessary.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable using POS systems and handling customer payments.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Friendly, dependable, and professional attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Comfortable standing and remaining active throughout a shift.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

About The Company

Winchester Bar & Grill is a neighborhood bar and grill located at 7002 Q Street in Omaha. The restaurant serves burgers, sandwiches, comfort food, appetizers, drinks, and daily specials, while also offering karaoke, live music, pool, and sand volleyball during the warmer months.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
