Cashier

Frothy Monkey is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily café operations and provide efficient service to customers. This role involves welcoming guests, taking food and beverage orders, processing payments, answering basic menu questions, organizing completed orders, and helping maintain a clean and organized service area. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service
• Take coffee, beverage, and food orders accurately
• Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other approved payments
• Answer basic questions about menu items, pricing, beverages, and café offerings
• Confirm order details and communicate customer requests clearly with café team members
• Provide receipts and assist with dine-in, pickup, and takeout orders
• Organize completed orders and help maintain smooth customer flow
• Keep the register, counter, and customer-service areas clean and organized
• Restock cups, lids, bags, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies
• Assist baristas and coworkers with routine café duties during busy service periods
• Support opening, closing, and other daily café responsibilities
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures
• Work cooperatively with team members to provide efficient customer service

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to customers
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Comfortable learning and using POS systems
• Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy
• Able to stay organized while assisting multiple customers
• Willingness to learn menu items and café procedures
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
