Duties

• Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions quickly and accurately
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos
• Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and assist with merchandising efforts to maintain an attractive store environment
• Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling product demos
• Support inventory management by participating in stocking activities and ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date for effective customer assistance

Requirements

• Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in bilingual settings (if applicable)
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Proven customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Experience supervising or leading small teams is a nice-to-have but not required
• Ability to handle high-volume transactions efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of retail store product offerings and merchandising principles is advantageous

Pay: $22.68 - $27.32 per hour
