Cashier

Job Summary

Yard House is seeking a friendly and dependable Cashier to provide accurate, efficient service at the front counter and support a smooth guest experience. This role handles transactions, assists with orders, answers basic menu questions, and works closely with the restaurant team during busy service periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide welcoming, professional service.
• Enter food and beverage orders accurately into the POS system.
• Process cash, credit card, and other approved payment transactions.
• Provide receipts and confirm order details before completing transactions.
• Answer basic questions about menu items, pricing, and restaurant services.
• Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure order accuracy.
• Keep the cashier station clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Assist with takeout and pickup orders when needed.
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Support other front-of-house duties during busy shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and guest-service skills.
• Comfortable using POS systems and handling payments accurately.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Able to stay organized in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and remain active throughout the shift.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
