CASHIER

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join the DKC GROUP INC team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience at our retail locations. As a Cashier, you will be the final point of contact for our customers, responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently whilst maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism. This role is essential to our retail operations and directly contributes to customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key responsibilities

• Processing customer payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, including cash, card and digital payment methods
• Providing courteous and efficient service to all customers whilst maintaining a welcoming attitude
• Scanning items, verifying prices and applying promotional discounts or coupons as appropriate
• Handling cash registers and ensuring accurate cash counts at the beginning and end of shifts
• Bagging merchandise carefully and professionally to protect customer purchases
• Responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues with professionalism and courtesy
• Maintaining a clean, organized and safe checkout area
• Assisting with stock rotation, product displays and other retail duties as required
• Following company policies and procedures, including those related to fraud prevention and data protection
• Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth retail operations

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working as a Cashier or in a similar retail or customer service role
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills
• Strong numerical and mathematical abilities to handle transactions and calculations accurately
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to customer service
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple transactions
• Honesty, integrity and trustworthiness, particularly regarding cash handling
• Attention to detail and accuracy when processing payments and handling change
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
• A positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to support team members
• Preferred: Experience in the retail and consumer products sector or knowledge of retail best practices
