Responsibilities

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos.
• Upsell products and promotions to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly approach.
• Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.
• Assist in inventory management through stocking and inventory checks to keep the sales floor organized and fully stocked.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely.

Qualifications

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both bilingual settings (English and additional languages).
• Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, retail math calculations, and balancing registers accurately.
• Experience with POS systems or similar technology is advantageous.
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service with a positive attitude.
• Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members or managing shifts.
