Cashier

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The Cashier will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately, handling payments, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining an organized checkout area.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately.
• Issue receipts and provide correct change when applicable.
• Operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Verify prices, discounts, promotions, and product information.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve basic concerns professionally.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and report discrepancies promptly.
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Assist with packing or bagging customer purchases when needed.
• Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling and loss prevention.

About you

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience is preferred.

• Basic computer and POS system knowledge.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Honest, trustworthy, and dependable.

• Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling payments.

• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays when required.
