Duties

• Operate the cash register accurately, processing sales transactions swiftly and efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
• Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with integrity, ensuring proper cash drawer handling at all times.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos and providing detailed information about store offerings.
• Upsell relevant products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain knowledge of retail store products and merchandising standards to support customer needs effectively.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
• Support supervising staff during busy periods, helping oversee daily operations and ensuring smooth cashiering processes.

Skills

• Proficiency in POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math for accurate transaction processing.
• Strong communication skills to interact clearly with customers and team members in a bilingual environment if applicable.
• Experience in supervising or leading team members is preferred to assist in training new staff or managing shifts.
• Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling, merchandising, and product demos.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters positive shopping experiences.
• Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities responsibly while maintaining an organized cash drawer.
• Familiarity with retail store product knowledge to assist customers effectively and promote sales initiatives.
