Duties

• Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions
• Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash drawer balancing with precision
• Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos when applicable, and upsell items to enhance their shopping experience
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring stock levels are replenished as needed
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries
• Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and ensuring product displays are attractive and well-maintained
• Engage customers with friendly communication, promote store promotions, and suggest complementary products to increase sales

Experience

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is a plus
• Strong basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing cash drawers confidently
• Supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for those interested in advancing within the team
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service expertise, are essential for success in this role
