Cashier

Fuse Bistro is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier to support daily restaurant operations and provide efficient service to guests. This role involves greeting customers, processing payments, assisting with orders, answering basic menu questions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, and comfortable working in a busy bistro environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process customer payments accurately using the POS system.
• Handle cash, credit cards, and other approved payment methods.
• Assist with dine-in, takeout, and pickup orders as needed.
• Answer basic questions about menu items, pricing, and restaurant offerings.
• Confirm order details and communicate customer requests to kitchen and service staff.
• Provide receipts and assist with routine checkout requests.
• Keep the register, counter, and front-of-house areas clean and organized.
• Restock bags, containers, napkins, utensils, and other service supplies.
• Assist restaurant team members during busy service periods.
• Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures.
• Support opening, closing, and other daily restaurant duties as assigned.
• Communicate customer concerns or order issues to the appropriate team member.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, restaurant, café, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable learning and using POS systems.
• Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy.
• Able to remain organized while assisting multiple customers.
• Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant procedures.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
